If you skip breakfast even once a week, or opt for a\u00a0non-breakfast\u00a0like coffee and toast even once a week, make the blender your first stop after getting out of bed. The following recipe can also be used as a meal replacement or pre-bed snack:<\/p>\n

• 24 oz (3 cups) 2% or whole organic milk<\/li>\n
• 30 g whey protein isolate<\/a> (chocolate tends to work best)<\/li>\n
• 1 banana<\/li>\n
• 3 heaping tbsp almond butter<\/a> with no added sugar,\u00a0maltodextrin, or syrups.<\/li>\n
• 5 ice cubes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Caloric and protein profile with 2% milk (approximate): 970 cal, 75 g protein<\/strong><\/p>\n

  *If you can afford it, a\u00a0Vitamix<\/a>\u00a0blender is a great tool. It is expensive, but it is a good powerful blender. Another (cheaper) option is an immersion blender. This is actually my personal favorite as it is super easy to clean and stores nicely.
